Today at 3pm EST (Noon PST) Gentle Giant LTD is planning to announce its SDCC Lineup! We already know it will include a color version of the Ralph McQuarrie Concept Darth Vader with 3 unique heads but they have been rumored to have 5 or more exclusives for SDCC (one of which was revealed in our forums for the Harry Potter line as being Lucious Malfoy in his Azkaban Attire).

Gentle Giant Halo Arbiter Review!
It has been a
long time since we’ve been able to
look at a Halo offering from Gentle
Giant. The original piece was the
Master Chief mini bust (repainted
also in Red, Blue, and Steel),
followed by a “Classic” scale Master
Chief (and pink repaint) as San
Diego Comic Con 2009 Exclusives. We
got our first glimpse of the Arbiter
mini bust back in February 2008,
over 2 years ago.
The
Arbiter, former enemy of Master
Chief and humanity, switched sides
in the war between humans and the
Covenant when he found out that the
Covenant leadership had the
intention of exterminating his
species, the Elites. With the
Arbiter at his side, the Chief was
able to push forward and defeat
their common enemies, making the
Earth safe once again. Most fans of
the Halo series see the Arbiter as
the second most popular and
important character in Halo 3, due
to his efforts in the war, and the
fact that player 2 in co-op Campaign
games plays as him. So was the wait
for the mini bust worth it? Read on
to find out!
An interesting tidbit was
posted in our forums, by Gentle Giant LTD
staffer VinylSquirrel, about the 2010 Holiday
Mini Bust. When asked in the "Ask GG" section if
the new Holiday piece was being worked on, here
was her reply::
"Yes, we know what it will
be...and will hopefully unveil it in either
June/July. Maybe a little sooner. But I suspect
we will take orders around that time so we can
have her in hands on-time this
year!"
While we don't 100% know if
the holiday piece will be Star Wars themed or
not, we can make a pretty good guess that it
will be based on past holiday items. The forums
are a buzz as to who SHE could be. A holiday
take on the Slave Leia? Leia Bespin? Padme?
Oola? Or maybe something we have never seen?
Either way it sounds like we may see her at SDCC
or C5!
Here is a first

comes with a removable visor that will
be able to be displayed on the figures
helmet (up or down). You can see this

Collector) has been inducted into the GGC Hall
Of Fame for 2009 and will be receiving one of
only 14 Anvil Awards that were made in-house at
Gentle Giant Studios. The Anvil Awards are a
yearly celebration for collectors of Gentle
Giant products and held at
GentleGiantCollectors.com in partnership with
Gentle Giant LTD.
We got a hold of
Mr.Sansweet yesterday while he was in
Dusseldorf, Germany where the Official German
Star Wars Fan Club has just wrapped up Jedi-Con
2010 to let him know about the honor and he had
this to share:

Award. I have been both a collector of and a
cheerleader for Gentle Giant from the start. I
feel lucky to have gotten to know and work with
many of the great people there, who share a
