Serenity Collectors.com
is a new fan site devoted to gathering collectors of Firefly /
Serenity memorabilia all in one place to chat about past, present,
and future products. With new items coming out from Darkhorse,
Diamond, Quantum Mechanix and others they looked around the net and
found plenty of fan sites, but none focused on the collecting of
Firefly / Serenity related merchandise.

The Premiere Guild Member raffle for the

We just got in some new
higher resolution images from Gentle Giant with some of the latest products
including the Chewbacca Maquette, the Kustomz TIE Fighter, the R2-D2 Statue and
the LOTR Legolas Animaquette as well as the imported items like the
R2-D2 trash can, and the TOMY Helmets of the AT-AT Driver, Biker

The AT-TE Driver Accessory Pack for the
EPIII Clone Trooper mini bust – We are not making another trooper,
they are just accessories to change-up your white EPIII Clone
busts.
Tusken Raider and Ackbar mini bust –
both will be out next year and there have been a few people noticing
the price on the Tusken Raider being stated at $55 and coming to the
conclusion it will be a deluxe bust with interchangeable arms, right
now, that is the goal.
Star Wars Chess Set – still in
development, hopefully to be released early next year. Final price
is still being determined.
The Bust-Ups are still continuing, we’ve
got 4 new series in various development stages to be released,
starting early next year.
The Life-Size Jabba is not for sale,
just for display only. Jabba will make a repeat appearance at San
Diego Comic-Con.

Gentle Giant had a great display, first
we will start with what we can't show you which is the Admiral Ackbar,
Sandperson, and AT-TE Driver Mini-Busts. The Ackbar and Sandperson looked like a
final produst where the AT-TE still was in the development stage, the Sandperson
sports a sniper rifle that looks to be about 10 inches long, very cool pose. No
photos were allowed of these items. They also have a very cool Darth Maul on
Sith Speeder in the same style of the Speeder Bike and photos were not allowed
of that one either but it looks in scale with the Scout Trooper. There were also
3 new additions to the Classics line and they were Queen Amidala, a
Snowtrooper and Hammerhead.

Mini Bust produced by Gentle Giant Ltd. will be made available,
exclusively for a charity raffle at Star Wars Celebration
IV. 100% of the proceeds will go to aid in the fight against cancer.
With a scanned likeness and authentic details, the talented artisans
at Gentle Giant spared no expense in developing this, the “Elvis
Trooper” mini bust.

Leia Statue has hit Hong Kong, will hit US
Next Week!
The Leia Statue has hit Hong Kong and according to a note on the Gentle
Giant Blog, should be hitting the USA next week. Reports from forum
members is that the Leia is spectacular and has already climbed up

Potter and Lord of the Rings
This summer brings to the big screen the
fifth installment of the Harry Potter series; Harry Potter and the
Order of the Phoenix. In celebration of the movie, Gentle Giant
will be releasing its second series of Bust-Ups based on
characters from the movie.
Harry Potter Bust-Ups: Order of the Phoenix
will include: Harry Potter, Draco Malfoy, Prof. Dumbledore,
Neville Longbottom, Ginny Weasley and a Thestral - Build-Up
Figure.
Also releasing in November will be the 4th piece in the Lord of
the Rings Animaquette line -
Gimli Animaquette.
This mighty warrior may be a dwarf, but that doesn't stop him from
letting you know who is better - Elf or Dwarf. You won't have to
decide as Gimli's base will interlink with the upcoming Legolas
Animaquette.

This November will mark the month of Han Solo.
Gentle Giant is excited to announce 2 additions of Han Solo to
their ever growing Star Wars line. Solo has been a mini bust and a
Bust-Up, but now gets his turn in full glory as a 12-inch statue
as well as getting the animated treatment. With the Animated Han
Solo Maquette, the base will interlink with the upcoming Animated
Chewbacca Maquette to recreate a memorable scene from Star Wars.

Gentle Giant's Star Wars animated
maquette series adds a new retro deco to one of its most striking
figures -- Boba Fett! This StarWarsShop Celebration convention
exclusive, which will have an edition size of just 1,000, sports
Fett's color scheme as he appeared in the Droids animated series
from the '80s (actually, the colors were modeled after Kenner's
action figure cardback artwork -- see pic). This
convention-exclusive is a great way to celebrate Fett's legacy to
both the Star Wars films and to the animated series they inspired.
StarWarsShop plans to offer
approximately 700 of the 1,000 edition size at Star Wars Celebration
IV in the US. While Gentle Giant will not be exhibiting, the the
remaining quantity will be offered up at Star Wars Celebration
Europe. Details on that distribution will be announced as Cel-Europe
draws closer.

Toy Fair Update, Gentle Giant
Maquettes!
Sadly, on the Gentle Giant Clone Wars
maquettes front only one new item was unveiled, a Mace Windu
maquette (most likely will be an exclusive item). But the Original
Trilogy animated maquette line show no signs of slowing down. Gentle
Giant revealed an exclusive Yoda & R2-D2 maquette, and although no
photograpy was allowed, they also showed a Han Solo maquette and a

Toy Fair Update, Gentle Giant
Statues!
Gentle Giant has plenty of other items for us
to drool at and their Star Wars statue line has not been neglected.
We finaly get to see a full set image of Jabba's throne with Bib
Fortuna, and the Max Rebo band. Gentle Giant also had a few other
statues on display, but unfortunately no photography was allowed
for: a Senate Guard statue (supposed to be an exclusive), a Han Solo
statue (with probably the best Harrison Ford likeness to date), a
kneeling Darth Vader from The Empire Strikes Back (with light up
base), and at long last an R2-D2 statue. Check out our full Gentle

and statue combo, a Merperson with Grindylow statue from Harry

SEVEN Touring Exclusives
Revealed!!!
The BIG announcements and sunrises keep
pouring in from Gentle Giant. In additon to the C4 exclusive Darth
Malak mini bust (see below),
Gentle Giant's Official Blog informs us of at least seven other
exclusives coming this year, to events all over the world! They
include an animated Yoda & Rd-D2 maquette and a Han & Luke in
Stormtrooper disguise bust-ups two pack. Tho location where those
two would be available was not revealed, but the for that
information is know for 4 out the five upcoming clone commander mini
busts:

Gentle Giant, say Halo to
Microsoft!
Gentle Giant has announced, via their
official blog, that they have entered into a partnership with
Microsoft and Bungie Studios to produce high end collectibles based
on the incredibly successful video game franchise, Halo. These
collectibles will include min block figures, mini busts, and
statues.
Celebration IV Gentle Giant
Exclusive Revealed!
StarWars.com has revealed Gentle Giant's
exclusive for Celebration 4, a Darth Malak mini bust from the
Knights of the Old Republic video game! Details like the price or
edition size have not been released yet, but click

A Deeper look into the SDCC Glow In the
Dark Bust Ups!
In 2004 Gentle Giant Ltd released a Convention
Exclusive set of Spirit of the Rebellion Bust Ups, 5000 in total were to be sold
at San Diego Comic Con and Wizard World Chicago. Of those 5000, 500 would be
Glow In the Dark Chase sets. All the boxes were blind boxed as sealed with tape
so you did not know if you were one of the lucky 500 until you opened the
package, but the ability to locate a legit set is not easy, click the image
